Cluster Ecosystem Conference 2022 - ScotlandIS

The ScotlandIS Cluster Ecosystem Conference returned for its third year to celebrate the achievements of Scottish clusters and the tech community in 2021, and to focus on opportunities for the remainder of the year.

This year's conference had a specific focus on Space, Robotics, Net-Zero and Cyber with key speakers from across the industry attending the event to share their knowledge.The lineup included, Alastair McInroy of Technology Scotland, discussing supporting developers in their journey from design to commercialisation; Paul Coffey from The Scotland 5G Centre, highlighting their 5G Connect Programme and Innovation Challenge; David Wavell of the National Robotarium, giving insights to the plans for the Robotarium and what it looks to achieve; Cheryl Torano of the Abertay University cyberQuarter, giving a similar introduction to the new ‘home for cyber’ in Dundee; and Dr Marie Macklin, talking about the revolutionary HALO Urban Regeneration project taking place in Kilmarnock.

The Bad Dinosaur team thoroughly enjoyed attending the event and will be signposting new and future clients to suitable funding and business opportunities we learned about during the day.

This was the first in-person ScotlandIS run event that the team have participated in since the start of the pandemic and we look forward to participating in other events later in the year.
