A round-up of the actions we're taking when recruiting in order to foster a more diverse and inclusive team.
Of the 199 applications for our developer role over LinkedIn in the last four weeks, only 13 are women.
We know there's a huge diversity imbalance in tech and we want to do more to address this, so, here's what we're doing about it:
👉 We've assessed the wording of our job descriptions in this handy wee app from the very talented Kat Matfield (we came out neutral)
👉 We've added in a line to our job description: "Bad Dinosaur is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer" Thanks to Vanessa Fong for that suggestion
👉 We've reiterated to our recruitment partners that we want to see more diversity in the candidates pool they're bringing us
👉 We've joined the ScotlandIS Diversity and Inclusion Committee, thanks to Marc Strathie for setting it up
👉 We've changed the imagery we use when promoting hiring to be more inclusive (see below)
